Vinings Village Civic Club
Donates Mirror for Historic Pace House
The Vinings Village Civic Club recently
donated a beautiful antique, standing full length mirror to be used in the
bedroom of the Pace House.
“The mirror’s
beautiful simplicity is very appropriate to the era and style of the Pace
House,” said Anita Shippen, Vinings Historic
Preservation Society Vice-President and Pace House
Chair.
The Civic Club donated the mirror
in honor of Mary Ann (M. A.) Sikes, who was President of the Society during the
time the Society was striving to receive recognition for the Pace House on the
National Register of Historic Places. The mirror was presented to the Historic
Society at the Pace House Gala held in April to celebrate the house’s
designation and honor Mary Ann Sikes.
